Stewart

I'm Tracey Stewart, and a typical comment on my school report cards was:

“A pleasure to have in class, but not meeting expectations.”

That’s me, not meeting expectations. I wish I had known then what I know now! Like many ADDers, I've been interested in, and experienced many things in my life and career. Waiting tables, theater, weightlifting, 5 different careers, but through it all, I've been a problem and puzzle solver, wondering why I'm different. I was diagnosed late in life, and I am now learning how best to work with my unique brain chemistry to be productive and happy.

In addition to coaching, I previously worked in public schools in special education, and I'm always thinking of ways to solve the neurodivergence puzzle in order to help the kids and adults I care about think better, work better, feel better. If you are diagnosed ADD/ADHD or just suffer from lack of executive function, I can help you find a way through our modern life to a way of doing things that’s best for YOU and your brain. And hopefully in pursuit of your goals, I can help you understand that although you might be different, different can be amazing.

Let’s discover how you can be the POWERHOUSE you were meant to be!

We all have gifts. For those with AuDHD, ADHD, ADD, or executive function deficits, those differences can obscure those gifts. I believe my job is to work in partnership with you or your family to uncover those gifts and capitalize on them. You have strengths that you don’t even know. Do you ever experience “Shiny Moments”? Well, those unusual moments when we feel we’re at our best, when we’re super productive, accessing all of our knowledge and functioning optimally, are when brain chemistry is at it’s best. This flow state can be reproduced to re-occur. Working with an executive function or ADHD coach can help you identify the conditions that help to be at your best, more of the time. Let’s work as partners to sleuth out those conditions and develop habits that can get more of those moments in your life. In the ADHD world, we call these habits the “Tower of Power”. I believe that everyone can benefit from learning about their own brain and discovering what works for them, instead of trying to implement cookie-cutter solutions adopted from our (neurotypical-dominant) culture. Let’s build your “Tower of Power”!

Another cornerstone of my coaching practice is the support that comes from working with someone who really understands your struggles. Many clients tell me that they feel so much relief in feeling “seen” for the first time. Trust me, if there’s something you are struggling with and you don’t know why, I have been there, and can explain the reasons behind it. Understanding how your neurodiversity is coming into play can be revelatory. I can also from experience and training, point out all of the ways you’re successful that you might not be noticing. It’s a hallmark of the AuDHD/ADD/ADHD brain that the negative leaves a deeper impression on us, incorrectly tipping the scales in our brain to think we are mostly unsuccessful, when in reality we are actually pretty successful! It’s my job to point out these successes and bring them to your attention and celebrate them, making them truly felt. With practice and partnership, we can change the lens on your life.

Working with Tracey has been absolutely amazing. She meets me with kindness, understanding, empathy, and encouragement. I get embarrassed by where I am with my day to day ADHD, but Tracey continues to bring awareness to accomplishments I don’t see or don’t feel is something to be celebrated...There is a tremendous difference between listening and understanding. Having Tracey understand my point of view and create a plan that works for me has helped me accomplish a routine I didn’t think I’d ever get to. I truly cannot recommend her enough.
